Busy, but not too much so
Since I got back from doing a few projects for my grandparents (what a great privilege), I modified an aluminum screen room
with screen room windows (EZ Breeze), designed and built a pantry, added a built-in upper wall of doors for storage, and am
currently working on a pond, custom cornice boards and modifying a built-in entertainment center along with some other
custom projects. Is yours next for me?

Don’t Work Backwards, Plan Backwards
When starting
a project, don’t just think of an idea and start construction. It takes more than that to achieve your desired end result.
When you pick up your tools, It is wise not to start with a thought. Think it though and write it out. Will my project interfere
with my normal daily routine? If not, then move on. If there is interference, what can be done to eliminate or divert it while
still achieving the desired result? Starting without a plan will often lead to a waste of time, effort, material and money.
You will most likely not know where you will result, hoping that you are on the right track. At that end, you will either
settle for the undesired result or simply, and expensively, start from scratch. Before hiring a professional or starting a project in a D.I.Y. manner, know what you want to create by first
drawing it out. Once you visualize the completed product on paper in detail, work backwards step by step. Know how
much materials will cost. Know what materials to use and how you will process them. Know how big of an undertaking
this will be. Do you have the necessary tools? Should you rent them or buy them? How long will the entire project take? Make
some phone calls and get some advice if necessary; people who work and big home centers love to share their knowledge and
will talk their jaws off. Draw out a detailed plan not only leads
to creating the desired result, but also to saving lots of cold hard cash on materials and doing your part helping to save
a tree for use rather than sending it to a landfill. Cheers! Good
luck! Ryan B.
